Who We Are

Jason Cowan is the President of Silver Creek Transportation. He holds a degree in Organization Growth from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jason believes that to build a strong organization, we must build strong people. He began his transportation career over 30 years ago rising through the ranks and learning to make a niche in the specialized transportation sector. Logistics and Transportation are his passion and he is always looking for innovative ways to enhance the products and services offered by Silver Creek.

Not only has Jason spend years in the transportation industry, but he also helped develop new leaders for the next generation. Speaking, teaching, and investing in the lives of young people to help them achieve success is a top priority for Jason. He believes in the core values of hard work, integrity, treating others well, and doing the right thing. He has partnered with the best people in the industry to grow Silver Creek to a respected carrier of specialized products and equipment. Jason is married to Penny Cowan and they have four grown sons Zachary, Zane, Zebb and JT. They also have one grown daughter Brianna and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family restoring old trucks and tractors.  If you come to the corporate office you will be greeted by our mascot Milo who will be glad to see you.

Heather Abner is the Office Manager of Silver Creek Transportation. She works in the office and strives to put people and customer service first. She has been with Silver Creek for 10 years. She assists with the day to day operations and takes on various roles. The primary role is being the office manager and making sure the office is in exceptional condition and also taking care of the company's billing needs.

Zane Cowan handles the daunting task of keeping the fleet up and running. It takes a special set of skills to maintain all the different units and trailer Silver Creek utilizes to keep up with the demands of a diverse customer base. Zane has brought several innovations to the maintenance division, including building a unit to inspect all Silver Creek's trailer fleet. This machine allows for maximum uptime so we can complete loads, faster and safer. Zane is married to Makenzie and they have two pups, Waylon and Willie. Zane loves diesel pickups, restoring old tractors and riding his motorcycle when not keeping the fleet in order, 

Zebb is the Special Project Manager of Silver Creek Transportation. He takes our business plan and develops new markets and opportunities for growth.  He assists with other day to day operations and lends a hand in the shop when needed. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his family and friends.

Richard joined the Silver Creek team in 2010 as a driver and now serves as logistics assistant.

 He keeps track of load inventories and customer service related to logistics, brokerage and driver communication. 

Maddie brings in over 5 years of sales and logistics experience. She was born and raised in Henderson, Kentucky.  She is engaged to Wade Dunn and together we have a 6-year-old son, Brayden, who is in kindergarten. When she is not occupied by spending time with her son, she can be found relaxing with her family or out exploring new restaurants, shopping centers, or enjoying her three dogs, Bentley, Tank, and Dallas.

Cindy was born and raised in Southern IL.  She travels and loves the Southwest. She is married to a wonderful man named Don and are both Christians and enjoy volunteering at our Church. We have a blended family of 6 children and 12 grandchildren.  She has been in the transportation industry her whole life, from being a receptionist to office manager to freight broker. She loves her job  at Silver Creek and love the people that she works with.  She has 2 college degrees and still enjoy working.
